Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award 2008 recipient
In the demanding role of Vice-Chair of the Scarborough Campus Students' Union, Jemcy Mary Joy has encouraged student involvement in governance through such initiatives as intranet announcements and mass e-mails. The result: active membership on all six Standing Committees. Last school year, the neuroscience major served as Vice-President Finance and Operations of the Life Sciences Students' Union. Jemcy has also shown a strong commitment to mentoring students through the Student Mentorship Program.
