Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award 2008 recipient
As Vice-President of the Undergraduate Pharmacy Society, Habibat Aziz Garuba organized the orientation banquet for incoming students as well as the awards night. The Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy student has also served as a member of U of T's Pandemic Flu Planning Committee, developing principles and guidelines to determine students' clinical rotations in the event of an influenza pandemic. In addition, Habibat has raised awareness of access to medicine issues through U of T's Global Medicines Initiative.
