2008 Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award Recipients

Woodsworth College undergrad Giulia Muraca has made a difference both in Toronto and around the world. Since 2004, the biological anthropology and African studies major has been travelling to Sri Lanka, where she serves as Managing Director for the charity Hemoglobal, which she helped to found. In 2006, Giulia also travelled to Namibia to study social and cultural factors affecting HIV transmission. To her fellow students at Woodsworth and across campus, Giulia's commitment to creating a better world has been nothing short of inspirational.
