Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award 2008 recipient
Elected President of the Student Teacher Union, Benjamin Gross works to enrich the student experience at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto. He took the initiative to organize and facilitate a workshop for OISE/UT teacher candidates on an educational game designed to introduce global economic issues into high school classrooms. Ben also volunteers as a Student Representative on Faculty Council, and with the Equity and Teacher Awards committees. For Earth Day, Ben initiated and is playing a supporting role in creating the OISE Forum on Environmental Education.
