2008 Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award Recipients

With Learning to Integrate New Cultures Canada, Anh Nguyen served first as the Director of Special Events and then as Co-President. She helped coordinate 25 U of T volunteers to tutor and mentor young refugees from Afghanistan. As the Director of Trinity College's Student Refugee Program, the psychology research specialist helped coordinate the sponsorship of a Sudanese refugee from a Nairobi, Kenya camp to come to U of T to study actuarial science. Anh is the publisher of the U of T chapter of Antigone Magazine, which focuses on women and politics.
