As U of T's Regional Alumni Representative in Calgary, Ryan organizes events and engages alumni in U of T initiatives such as the Boundless and Landmark Campaigns. Ryan also served on the College of Electors and was President of the University College Alumni Association. Accepting the award on his behalf were his parents, Brian and Debbie Ackers.
