2018 Arbor Award Recipients

Since 2015, the Bikila Award Board of Directors has engaged the Ethiopian-Canadian community in U of T initiatives and core programming in Ethiopian history, language and culture at the Faculty of Arts & Science. They have organized forums and events and hold an annual gala, all of which have helped raise over $300,000 towards Ethiopic Studies. We would particularly like to acknowledge Tamrat Gebeyehu, an integral and dedicated member of the Bikila Board of Directors who passed away this spring.
