Since his retirement in 2005, Martin has had many volunteer roles at the Faculty of Medicine. He is currently editor of the Surgical Spotlight newsletter, and as a member of the Joint Centre for Bioethics has been a mentor, teacher, course organizer, and curriculum lead.
