Arbor Award 2012 recipient
Martin Barkin has served as president of the Surgical Alumni Association since 2008, during which time the association located more than 1,200 "lost" alumni and started mailing the quarterly Surgical Spotlight to alumni around the world and inspired activity among alumni in several of the Department of Surgery's specialty divisions. Martin also led the planning of a gala dinner to celebrate and support the Surgical Scientist Program's 25th anniversary.
