Julia Deans, CEO of the Greater Toronto CivicAction Alliance-formerly the Toronto City Summit Alliance-has been active with the Innis College Urban Studies Program since 2007. During the past four years, Julia and the CivicAction team have welcomed student interns from the program, offering many opportunities, including a chance to assist in the planning of the 2009 and 2011 Toronto City Summits. Acting as a mentor and supervisor to Urban Studies students, Julia is also a regular panelist at various on-campus events.
