2010 Arbor Award Recipients

Margaret Kende graduated with her Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering in 1960, one of a handful of women to have completed the program at that time. She has dedicated a tremendous amount of time and energy since in leadership roles that promote the status of women in engineering and science. Margaret has assisted in successful efforts to recruit more young women to the faculty at the University of Toronto and elsewhere. She has been involved with the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering alumni office and has been a Warden of Camp One Iron Ring, since 1988.
