2010 Arbor Award Recipients
Lynn Factor
Arbor Award 2010 recipient
Driven by her commitment to social justice, Lynn Factor has devoted 30 years to improving services and programs for society's vulnerable children. In 2007, Lynn and her husband, Sheldon Inwentash, demonstrated their commitment through a landmark donation to the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work. Since then, Lynn, a social worker herself, has been an active volunteer in the faculty. She is a valuable member of the Dean's Advisory Circle and has helped recruit other prominent members to that board. Lynn continues her tireless support to social services as a board member of the Children's Aid Foundation, as a committee member on the Child Abuse Review Team for Children's Aid Society, and as a committee member for fundraising for BOOST Child Abuse Prevention and Intervention. Lynn believes that education is paramount in addressing child welfare. To that end, she also devotes her efforts as the chairperson of the scholarship committee of Children's Aid Foundation, as a member of the Art Gallery of Ontario education committee, and a member of the president's commission at Wheaton College.
