Hume Eric and Judith Ann Smith, both University College graduates, have made a significant contribution to the UC Book Sale since 1995, when Hume joined the operation as a book sorter and a sales room volunteer. In 2004, Hume brought in his wife, Judy, whose professional experience as a librarian along with her organizational and writing talents have contributed greatly to the book sale's success, especially with respect to internet sales and her work in administration of the Treasures and Collectibles area.
