For 57 years, Barrie Blanshard, a Civil Engineering grad, has been a pillar of the Engineering Class of 1953, holding the positions of first vice-president and class representative. He was instrumental in establishing the 5T3 Engineering Award and has been chair of the award selection committee since 2003 as well as either chair or vice-chair for class reunions.
