Gordon Baird, a 1989 Faculty of Law graduate, has used his position as chair of McCarthy Tetrault's national pro bono committee to encourage law students to embrace pro bono volunteerism. He has been an ardent supporter of Pro Bono Students Canada, a national program housed at the Faculty of Law, for the last six years, and provides guidance and support to the U of T staff who manage the program. Gordon is an adviser to the faculty's Access to Justice Project and has been a lecturer for Ethics and Professionalism Bridge Week, a program for first-year students.
