Ian Giffen's commitment to the students of the Transitional Year Programme is exemplary, based in a strong desire to help these students achieve their educational goals and transform their lives. After meeting several TYP students at a 2007 graduation ceremony, Ian was moved to offer his time and expertise in finance and budgeting to students. Sensitive to the varying needs of TYP students, Ian meets with them either one-on-one or in small groups to provide financial advice and counsel where appropriate. He regularly attends TYP's informal pizza luncheons where he can be found chatting with students about their studies or their personal budgets
