From 2005 to 2007 Suzette Blom volunteered with University in the Community as a lecturer on the legal rights of women throughout history. The outreach program between Woodsworth College and the Davenport-Perth Neighbourhood Centre serves individuals facing economic and/or social barriers to education. Initially, Suzette taught a four-week course titled “Women, Family Law and Community.” The course was such a success that the former lawyer went on to deliver a 10-week course on the historical evolution of women's legal rights.
