In 2003 Michael Wilson was installed as Trinity's 11th chancellor, serving both as a member of the Board of Trustees and the Corporation. Michael, a 1959 Trinity graduate, resigned as chancellor in September 2006 when he was appointed as Canada's Ambassador to the United States, based in Washington, D.C. Michael has had a distinguished career in politics, government and the public service and has served as an ex-officio member of St. Hilda's College Board of Trustees and treasurer of Trinity College's Spirit of Leadership Campaign from 1997 to 2000.
