James D. Coats
Arbor Award 2008 recipient
As secretary of the Faculty of Forestry's Class of 1952, James D. Coats has helped organize reunions far and wide: in Bermuda, Victoria, Ottawa, Peterborough and on one Caribbean cruise. Jim also did his part for the faculty's centennial celebration year in 2007. He was a member of the Core Centennial Committee and Communications Committee, contributing to the production and publication of a new graduate directory. Jim's knowledge of forestry graduates from the faculty's middle years proved extremely helpful.
