Dr. Barry Schwartz has been a dedicated volunteer on U of T's research ethics committees for the past seven years. He reviews the protocols for studies involving human subjects to ensure that all research adheres to ethical policies and standards. This vital role has proven invaluable to the university's biomedical and health sciences disciplines. In addition, Barry helped develop U of T's standards in research ethics education. as well as guidelines and best practices for informed consent.
