Arbor Award 2007 recipient
Tibor Fekete, President of the Szechenyi Society, helped establish the Faculty of Arts and Science's Chair of Hungarian Studies in 1978. The Calgary-based society promotes Hungarian culture in Canada, while the chair advances U of T's Hungarian Studies program. Tibor was instrumental in creating an endowment fund for a Hungarian history course, as well as scholarships for undergraduates studying the Hungarian language.
