Daniel Thompson
Arbor Award 2007 recipient
A 1981 graduate of the Faculty of Physical Education and Health, Daniel Thompson was a member of two Varsity Blues Canadian Championship teams. He was undefeated across Canada in the 100 metre butterfly. First volunteering in the faculty's corporate sponsorship strategy in 1997, Dan then became a Project Blue Adviser for the successful $10 million campaign. Since 2001, the former Olympian has served on the faculty's Sponsorship Committee, advising the on strategies and philanthropic partnerships.
