Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award 2009 recipient
Shawna Ardley made her mark at the Lawrence S. Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing by co-organizing the development of Globally Interested Nurses (GIN), a student-run, non-profit group that raises awareness of global health issues. GIN also provides resources and fosters leadership skills in healthcare outreach. The organization is currently engaged in fundraising, hosting workshops, forging links with other university health groups and holding monthly meetings that showcase global health experiences.
