Head of Wealth Management & Capital Markets Borealis AI, RBC
Melinda Jacobs is the Head of Wealth Management and Capital Markets at Borealis AI, RBC's Research Institute for Machine Learning in Toronto. She previously led a startup for 6 years with offices spanning Taiwan and the San Francisco Bay Area. She currently serves on the Board of Trustees of Trinity College, where she completed her HBA in International Relations in 2012, and additional chairs the board of the
St. Hilda's College Board of Trustees. She has served as a Director of the UTAA since 2014.
As an undergraduate student and Loran Scholar, Melinda was a co-Head of College at Trinity, and served extensively on governance committees at the College and University, and was awarded a Gordon Cressy Student Leadership Award. In addition to her Honours B.A. Melinda holds a certificate in Entrepreneurship from the Next 36. Melinda has spoken extensively on topics related to entrepreneurship, fintech and social enterprise, and has represented Canada at the G20 Young Entrepreneurs Summit. She resides in Toronto and proudly hails from Fredericton, New Brunswick.
