About Dr. Roy
Dr. Lipi Roy is a physician, speaker, entrepreneur, and media personality dedicated to health education and advocacy. She is the founder of SITA MED, a health speaking and training company focusing on stress-related conditions like addiction, mental illness, and sleep disorders. A clinical assistant professor at NYU Langone Health, Dr. Roy also treats patients with opioid use disorder at Greenwich House and previously served as Chief of Addiction Medicine at Rikers Island, overseeing care in the USA's second-largest jail complex.
Dr. Roy’s career spans Boston, where she cared for homeless populations, and New York City, where she served as Medical Director of COVID Isolation Sites during the pandemic. She is a sought-after speaker and media contributor, having made over 350 appearances on MSNBC and other major networks. Dr. Roy holds degrees from Tulane University and completed residency at Duke, blending clinical care, public health, media, and education to empower healthy decision-making.
