Everyone has a story — learn how to tell yours in an unforgettable way.

Whether you're introducing yourself at a networking event, speaking up in meetings, interviewing for a new role or sharing your experiences with others, a compelling story can help you connect with people and make a lasting impression.

Join international storyteller and trainer Renira Narrandes (MPH 2015) for an interactive workshop that will help you turn your experiences into stories that connect, inspire and spark interest. Drawing on her background in journalism, occupational therapy and public health, Renira combines practical storytelling techniques with hands-on activities to help you find your authentic voice.

During this workshop, you'll:

  • Learn the four essential ingredients of a compelling story
  • Develop a framework for your own career story
  • Build confidence for networking, interviews and presentations
  • Put your new skills into practice during an alumni networking session

Whether you're just beginning your career or looking to strengthen your professional presence, you'll leave with practical tools to help your story stand out—and the confidence to share it.

Stay after the workshop to put your new storytelling skills into practice while connecting with fellow U of T alumni at TD Terrace. Your $10 registration includes the workshop and networking reception, with complimentary hors d’oeuvres, non-alcoholic beverages and one drink ticket.
