Chris Girard

Chris Girard has built his career in financial services, spanning over two decades that began in equity research before he moved into wealth management. A CFA charter holder and discretionary Portfolio Manager with RBC Dominion Securities Inc., Chris leads a practice focused on business owners, incorporated professionals and their families, often guiding them through the sale or succession of a business and the planning that surrounds it. Much of his work centres on succession planning, estate planning, tax planning, family harmony and risk management. These are areas where families' personal and financial priorities are often closely intertwined.

Chris's connection to the University of Toronto spans nearly his entire life, beginning at University of Toronto Schools (UTS) and continuing through his Bachelor of Commerce at Rotman Commerce and University College. Grateful for all the university has given him over the years, he is committed to giving back. Chris has served University College in a range of volunteer roles, including as a member of the

University of Toronto's College of Electors, the University College Alumni Association, the University College Principals' Advisory Council, and the annual University College Book Sale. Outside of the office, Chris and his wife and two sons spend much of their time in nature across Ontario, including fishing and exploring the outdoors, and they love discovering Toronto's vibrant and diverse food scene.
