About the Series

Each year, three departments team up to host three Backpack to Briefcase sessions throughout the academic year. Alumni are invited to share their experiences and professional advice with students in a relaxed, social atmosphere.

Students learn about different career options and develop the networking skills necessary for professional success.
Arts & Science Alumni
have the opportunity to interact with students, revisit their alma mater, and offer career guidance.

This year, two Backpack to Briefcase series will be held:

B2B Humanities hosted by the departments of English and History and Innis Cinema Studies.

B2B Science hosted by the departments of Astronomy and Astrophysics, Math and Physics
